起源与搜索历史

2020年2月21日，用户 datafreq 首次将这首歌上传到New Wave Outpost论坛，并声称其内容来源于1984年在加拿大录制的一盘磁带。1

2020年4月8日，用户 Synthman78 将这首歌曲的一段副歌合唱发布到Spirit of Radio上，询问是否有用户知道这首歌曲。

2020年7月20日，Youtube用户 DJFormaldehyde 将《CIA》发布到了YouTube和New Wave Outpost论坛上。2这首歌是在 DJFormaldehyde 的一位朋友制作的磁带上发现的，其中收录了从CFNY-FM Spirit of Radio上录制的歌曲3，CFNY-FM Spirit of Radio当时是一家加拿大广播电台，以播放新浪潮、电子或另类摇滚而闻名。4
